Our Broken Crowns Fantasy brand is searching for gripping short fantasy novels that cater to the young adult audience. The novels can be of different subgenres, such as high, low, or historical fantasy, and should be well-crafted with an engaging plot, diverse and relatable characters, and vivid world-building. We are looking for stories that transport the reader to a fantastical realm, where they can escape and immerse themselves in a new and exciting world. The ideal length of the novel should not exceed 100,000 words. If you have a manuscript that fits the bill, we would love to read it!
Are you an aspiring ghostwriter with a passion for creating captivating children's literature? Look no further! Our CREATORS NEEDED page is currently seeking talented writers to help us produce top-quality picture books, young readers, and middle-grade stories that will engage and inspire young readers.
We are also looking to publish non-ghostwriters in this field. So, if you have a Picture book, a young reader's story or a tale for middle grades, send in a synopsis for us to review. You may also want to check out our CREATOR NEEDED page to see what we think makes good children's literature.
Historical fiction is a genre of literature that intertwines fictional characters and events with factual elements from the past. It often features real people, places, and events, offering a unique blend of entertainment and education to readers. Examples of popular historical fiction books include The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett, which takes place in 12th-century England during the construction of a magnificent cathedral and Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell, which follows the lives of southern plantation owners during the American Civil War, and The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, which tells the story of a young girl growing up in Nazi Germany during World War II.
At our organisation, we appreciate the appeal of Romance as a genre. However, we prefer to see it as part of a larger story, one that encompasses elements of Fantasy, Historical Fiction, Adventure, or coming-of-age. We believe that this approach makes for a more engaging and impactful reading experience.
If you have a pitch that fits within these parameters, we would be delighted to hear it. Please share your ideas with us below, and we will get in touch with you as soon as possible.
