Luna Eden Publishing emerged during a time of significant global upheaval, specifically the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. At the helm of this venture is Trish, our founder, who was then using her skills and expertise as a group therapist. The pandemic brought about unprecedented challenges, forcing individuals into isolation and disrupting the normalcy of daily life. For many, including Trish, this period of lockdown catalysed introspection and creativity.
Before the pandemic, Trish had not written daily since she was 14. However, as the world became engulfed in uncertainty and social distancing measures took hold, she rediscovered her passion for writing once more. This revival of her creative spirit was not just a personal escape; it also prompted her to reflect on the impact of loneliness on mental health—a theme that resonated deeply with her professional background.
In 2022, she decided to pursue a degree in creative writing and publishing. This educational journey allowed her to deepen her understanding of the literary world while honing her skills as a writer. It also illuminated the challenges faced by underrepresented authors in the industry, which sparked a fire within her to champion their voices.
With a clear mission in mind, Trish founded Luna Eden Publishing in 2023 and made it a limited company in 2024. Trish’s vision was to establish a publishing house that not only provided traditional publishing opportunities but also fostered a vibrant community for UK writers who felt marginalised or overlooked in the vast literary landscape.
As Luna Eden Publishing continues to grow, it remains committed to its core values of inclusivity, creativity, and community-building. We publish cosy and clean fiction for children, young adults and the adult market. The choice to do this is to include everyone in our literary space. Some of our books do contain hard topics, but we hope to present them with dignity to all.
Luna Eden Publishing is a small traditional publishing press based in the Midlands of the UK. We publish on a print-on-demand basis, which is both a choice for cost-effectiveness and sustainability. We want to leave as little waste as possible.
Our books are available at Waterstones, Kobo, Amazon, and Apple Books, to name a few. We can deliver to readers and small bookshops in the UK at heavily reduced prices.
However, because we are small, we can not always compete with larger publishers, and so we ask that you consider that when purchasing from us.
Our founder, sometimes affectionately known as Luna, deliberately selected this name for its significance, which translates to 'moon'. The moon, with its commanding influence over the tides, embodies the promise of new beginnings—a concept that resonates deeply with our aspirations. We are unwavering in our dedication to ensuring that each book we curate serves as a gateway to a journey and the promise of a fresh start.
Drawing inspiration from the biblical exhortation to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, urging them to propagate and populate the earth, we embrace a similar ethos in our commitment to stocking your shelves with an extensive array of literary works.
Our unwavering commitment to our authors and readers is to employ the most sustainable methods for creating both physical and virtual books. This dedication extends to our business practices as we strive for a sustainable future for our industry and our planet.
Luna Eden Publishing is deeply committed to maintaining transparency and fairness at every stage of its operations.
At Luna Eden Publishing, we are committed to not using AI-generated writing and illustrations in our books.
