The Shards of Broken Crowns by S.R. Hobson

In the aftermath of Gethis the Unholy's demise, the once-unified kingdom lies fractured, with the legacy of his ten children shaping a new era of power struggles and ambition.

Drystan, the eldest, was born to rule but fell victim to betrayal, paving the way for his ailing son, Isembart, whose claim to the throne was never realised.

As the kingdom splinters, two powerful factions emerge: Ysabel, the formidable ruler of Estron, and her brother Elyot, who governs the fertile lands of Runo and the desolate expanses of Jacarcia.

With dragons returning to the skies and the Mages of Scarron rising to assert their dominance, tensions simmer as the descendants of Gethis’s bloodline converge on the realm, each believing the throne rightfully belongs to them. In a world where old alliances are tested and new pacts are forged, who will emerge as the rightful rulers and at what cost?

'... I honestly couldn't put it down. I loved the lead characters; I wanted to be there with them... So well written. A winner from page one. I was smitten. Thanks very much.' ~ Reviewer

'Rosemond Whitehammer is the stuff of dreams at her best and the perpetrator of nightmares at her worst. She will stop at nothing to become the queen of her realm. I really like this book; it covers women's rights, colonialism, and romance. You should take a look.' ~ Reviewer
